Why is it important

Why Standardisation is necessary

Magnetic field strength, signal-to-magnetic noise ratio and frequency response, at least, need to be standardized in order to secure usable communication with hearing aids. Additionally, the volume of space in which the magnetic field strength is sufficient needs to be treated (it is usually too complex to define or specify).
